What are the guidelines for submitting an Illustrated Story?

Illustrated Stories feature text with images/artwork. The text of the stories have the same content guidelines as other stories we publish. In addition, we have guidelines for the images/artwork featured in Illustrated Stories.

All artwork - including drawings, paintings, and photographs - must comply with these rules:

All persons in any image or artwork must be over 18 years of age.
Image must not contain a URL or other advertisement.
Image must be no more than 1500 pixels wide. (Note: we will size the image to fit if we are able to do so. However, if we are unable to shrink the image, you will need to resubmit.)
Like all other submissions on Literotica, images must be your original work which you own the copyright to. For example, photographs that you yourself took, or paintings or drawings that you yourself created. Please do not submit photos or other images you have found online, or that you do not own the rights to.
Hardcore images may be allowed in drawings, paintings, 3D renderings, and other non-photographic images in cases where the age of the person in the artwork is clearly over 18 years old.
Artwork featuring excessive violence, non consent, or any extreme content may be rejected for any or no reason.

Photographs also have these rules: Legally, we can allow soft nudity (no closeups of genitals, erect penises, etc.) in photographs of consenting adults over the age of 18, but under current United States law, photographs published on this site may not contain “sexually explicit conduct”, which the government defines as:

Actual or simulated:

sexual intercourse, including genital-genital, oral-genital, anal-genital, or oral-anal, whether between persons of the same or opposite sex;
bestiality;
masturbation;
sadistic or masochistic abuse; or
lascivious exhibition of the genitals or pubic area of any person.

Please note: These rules apply to all photographic images, including photographs manipulated in a graphics program.

Literotica never publishes voyeur photographs, ex-girlfriend type content, or any image content where the person or people in the images have not consented to have their images published. Every person in any image published on Literotica must be over 18 years old and must have given consent for their photograph to be published. If you believe that any user on Literotica may have violated this policy, please report it immediately using the “Report a Problem” link at the bottom of each page on the site.

If your image does not meet all of the above requirements, your Illustrated Story will not be posted. In that case, you may resubmit the story with images which meet our content guidelines.

Any images uploaded to the site that include under 18 or any other clearly illegal content, will be reported to the appropriate organizations.
