Love cannot be controlled or ruled
It can be gentle and often cruel
You never know who, when or where
Sometimes it's love we cannot bear.

Love has many sides to it
You never figure out a bit
Happiness and joy it can bring
Some say it can overcome anything.

Love must come from the soul
It must make you feel whole
No one can take love from you
Giving it away, is for you to do.

Great poem!

Your rhyme and meter were good. Keep writing. You handled a vast/unexplainable subject well.
