Two weeks later, as I came to work I noticed an unusually, for Monday, cheerful attitude. Brenda had gone! All the boss, Ralph, told us, was that she had just upped and left, saying something about biking round Europe. Poor Europe!
She did leave a sting for me, as I might have expected.
The following week I received an envelope from my fiancée, Suzanne's parents. Enclosed were a number of photos. In addition to those from my caravan, were some her friend, Leslie, had taken while Brenda was raping me in her flat. Also enclosed was an engagement ring. There was no letter, just a brief note, which told me to stay away from Suzanne, and better, the whole town.
