I have been invited to participate in an advisory role in the trusteeship. It is tempting, but I have other worlds to conquer. Not to mention that I had made so many enemies on Frethia that trusteeship or no, one of those dinosaurs would find a way to eliminate me. I'm told they eviscerate their foes. A job well done is its own reward. As Captain Barris said after my first briefing back aboard the "Resnick," "I was wrong about you Summers. This is going to sound very old fashioned and very sexist but sometimes the best man for a job is a woman."

justine_16925 months agoWait, if the Frethians wanted to breed intelligence out of the mammalians wouldn't they sterilize the more intelligent females and males instead of force breeding them with lower IQ mates? Ok, I suppose that would cause the human population to shrink down to an unsustainable level though. Given that, why wouldn't the Frethians find the least intelligent males and females and force breed them? That would increase the percentage of unintelligent humans in the population and achieve the dino's goal while not shrinking the human population. Anyway, an interesting concept for a story and the ending leaves an opening for a series focused on Lynda Summers' further adventures.
