He looked over at her. "With you, I'm just like Renik. I can't control it."
"Why?" she asked. "Why can't you control it with me?"
He took a big swallow of his whiskey. "When I'm around you, everything I feel is so much more intense; anger, fear for you, lust, all of it. It overwhelms me and I have to turn it off."
"Why are you telling me this now?" she asked quietly.
"You will be safer here. Away from my enemies. And away from me. You will bear my children, to please the Council. We can use artificial insemination if you want." He sighed. "I spoke with Gemma." She could see the distaste her name still gave him. "She convinced me there may be a way to pursue this career of yours safely. I asked her to look into it." He pulled the object from his pocket and Jessa could now see that it was a box. "And you will be my wife, with the honor of a Tenth Circle Lady. Before I leave, we will be married." He opened the box and showed her matching gold wedding bands.
"Jacq is like my counterpart here in Paris," he continued. "He will help you, set you up in a safe apartment building. I want you to ask him whenever you need help. Trust no one else, please."
"Torah, I..."
"This is the only way, Jessa. Now shower. Erich will be back soon and I have calls to make."

_VirginSlut_over 4 years agoThe story was getting kind of boring so I'm happy for the kidnapping and Jessa's bad ass killing skills didn't expect him to propose like that but hey they are in Paris and considering their situation its probably the most romantic its gonna get

Hukilauover 7 years agoWell at least you know your story brings out a lot of heated emotions. I would like Torah and Jessa to have time for more communication. Maybe she should get him drunk, tie him up, make him talk. It would help to understand a little about the world around them. What happened, nuclear blowup, flooding, plague? Who are the good guys, who are the bad guys. I look forward every day for more updates.
Anonymousover 7 years agoOkay. I'm a sucker for the girl hates guy but eventually fall for him crap but this is just beyond stupid. Torah is now an irredeemable guy for me. He's beyond saving and the only thing that he should get is a bullet in his head. Your soon to be wife was just kidnapped, beaten and raped and the first thing that you asked was "my babies"?? WTF man that is just so messed up!! And I agree about the character of Jessa. For me she feels too inconsistent. One day she's acting like a total badass and the next she's back to being the typical meek, stupid and frustrating heroine. Uhm maybe you can expand more on her like add more paragraphs so that you can properly flesh out her character. To be honest all I'm asking now is for her to kill Torah while she's sleeping, kill Erich too and bomb the whole council for their stupid "all females must breed" program. Like seriously F$&k them!!!!

Anonymousover 7 years agoi love your story please update soon no matter what way take I keep reading it I do hope that he doesn't share her at the very least have that much respect for her she was scared to death when he implied that earlier in story and in ways I hope theres a chance shes still pregnant
