Click hereBut I realized I couldn't live that life. I wanted more, something different from what Maggie had. I discovered I couldn't thrive in her world and she'd have been lost in the one I became comfortable with.
Still, I learned a lot, good and bad, from my time with Maggie May. It changed my life in ways I'm still dealing with to this day and turned me in a direction I may never have gone had I not had that experience.
Maggie May. She made a first-class fool out of me, but I was as blind as a fool can be. She broke my heart, but I loved her just the same.
I'll sure never forget her, as long as I live.
very interesting story. I enjoyed the musical knowledge you obviously have, and the descriptions of being a deadhead and following a band on tour were very convincing. The only problem with it was i didn't find it all that erotic. the scenes with sex were good, but not very long or descriptive. However, as i also enjoy a lot of sixties music i found the story interesting, and i liked the way you portrayed your character as outgrowing the full hippy experience, as many actual hippies did. Fine storytelling, i suspect because you drew on your own experiences and emotions to some degree.
So very impressive Jack! I really love your stories that have a happy but kinda sad ending. You have given us another quality romantic story with more than a little heartache. Impressive and beautifully written – with a plot very different from all the other "Maggie Mae" contributions! Pete.
Jack, once again a well written submission. But, one detail that you missed...USF hasn't had a Football program since 1951...

It was well written as always. You did entertain and that is the first criteria of a good story. Thank you for your effort.
Great read, and it brought back a lot of great and not so great memories.
Thanks.
