He walked into the hall, and the door closed slowly and softly behind him.
As the light faded into darkness, Kevin switched on the outside lights so that he could continue to watch the snow fall. He put on the "Long Live Love" cd by Olivia Newton-John, and listened to "I Honestly Love You." He smiled with his memories. It had been eighteen years since he had last seen Evelyn. They had both traveled many miles always in different directions, she with her husband, he with his wife. But whenever the snow fell, she was first in his heart.
At about the same time, I was right there with you. No happily-ever-after for me, either, but I’ll never forget her, or cease to appreciate everything that she did for me. 5 stars.
The first parts of this story weren't nearly as interesting as the closing comments of the loving couple. Nice story and hope you have more for us to read about this couple.
I like how descriptive you are. I think I'd enjoy reading your writing about... even making tuna salad!
This is beautifully written, and I can tell it's based on some real experience. That comes through. Thank you for sharing it.
Good story. You are a good writer. If you're not getting paid, you ought to be.
You made me cry.
That story was BEAUTIFUL.
Well done! Please write many more stories :)

Completely believable and very erotic. I was surprised a guy could write so sensitvely and not push the macho bullshit like so many others.
Not sure if this is pure fiction or a real experience, but you engaged me from the opening graph onward. I experienced what they experienced through your beautiful prose. A very tender, and daresay, moving story.
My only complaint, if there is one, is simply my own fault. I knew this was a memory story, but I initially envisioned sometime in the late '50s. The first lines of dialogue threw me off until I figured we're dealing in the late '70s, early '80s.
Great job!
Thank you for a wonderful story. I felt like I was there with them. It actualy had a plot to follow and wasn't full of screwing from start to finish.
Please write more.
tender, moving, loving ... the characters were so real ... Leto423
Very nicely written, but I'm a little puzzled by what happened. I never really caught the motivation for her so casually to cheat on her husband. And why would he, sensitive type that he is, so easily fall into bed with a married woman? I know, I know, it's a story; but it purports to be a true one, so those questions seem valid. Anyway, nice read.
