Great story of a couple waking up to what is really important. This is the kind of story we don't see much of anymore.

Slirpuff, maybe you need to write another chapter and explain why Tim was swerving all over the road and why Tammy had all her injuries on her right side. I would have left her in the hospital, gotten a police report showing what really happened and left the slut to take care of herself.

Really great finish to this story. Too many marriages are all about the money and what each spouse wants. This couple was lucky. Events brought them back together. It couldn't happen without this crisis but it proves they were basically good folks.

Easier they had a better House but no Home.

Stuff is just things you have to dust. Family is the key to life. Nice story about a bad situation, both were to blame. I believe the drinking would have landed her in the wrong bed. What a wonderful story they have to tell the kid about when hes older, because yes, hes gonna ask.

A pretty good realistic story. The author left a bit unexplained and by doing so left it up to the reader to put it together which depending on the reader take on it,effects the outcome of the ending being acceptable or not. Tears at the news of Tims death,was it more than friendship like the loss of a lover or possible future husband ?Compassion for fellow worker dying next to her? Accident damage to the right side of wifes face and body,was she laying with her head in his lap?If sitting upright,the air bag would have prevented that? Either way she had stated she loved him not and moving on was on her mind so he should have cut his losses and went his own way. I know most of us husbands would have faced the fact she was no longer his and not beat on a dead horse but planned ahead to be without her. I would not have wanted her back.

I must be feeling jaded today, but I thought for sure he'd announce she had been cheating and this was her house only now. That remains a good story even though I didn't remember the ending from the first time I read it.

Just because no else would want a well used slut with a scarred face and a mangled foot, there's no reason the MC and his son have to look at the deformed bitch every day. Drop her off at her parents' house, and let them help her grieve for her dead lover. The MC and his son can build a new life out at the lake.

When she commented about her scars and being ugly now he should have said let that server as a reminder of you being a cheating slut.

Been there. Done that. There is a reason medical bills are the leading cause of bankrupcey. It is god awful expensive, even with insurance.

And if America had d3cent third party motor vehicle insurance or a proper health insurance system like every civilised country, this story would have been one page and done.

I’ve read several hundred stories on the site and this is the first one I’ve read with this plot line. It cracks me up at so many commenters are blasting him for not writing the same old same old. A couple people were blasting our healthcare system saying that it was the number one cause of bankruptcies. That is incorrect the number one cause of bankruptcies is people buying stuff they don’t need. The reason she skipped on her medical plan was because she thought stuff was more important.

The writer did a superior job of explaining how they came back to each other and how she came to understand the need for him to sell all the stuff off. You could tell that she realized he sold the stuff off because of his love for her. Five stars!

A great story! Some things become distilled in the psyche only under great duress.

I really enjoyed this, in fact, my hayfever started playing up at the end.

The wife is out with another man after 11:00 pm and sends her husband a text saying the other guy does not think she has a fat ass and that two can play the cheating game. Why would he believe she was faithful? If she can prove it, fine. Otherwise, the circumstantial evidence leans toward drunk, cheating slut.

Very good story & glad about the reconciliation. Unfortunately, it took a severe accident & almost losing his wife/ her life, to accomplish that. The one thing, however- she texted him that 2 "could play his game", meaning being with & possibly having/ planning on sex with the other guy. Why they decided to drive after drinking a bit's kind of stupid, even if the accident's not either of their faults.

However, & thankfully, both realized the important things in life- their marriage; would've been nice if it happened pre-accident. She never said what she planned on doing with the guy & down the road, he never asked. But the writing & story deserves a 4 star rating. Bob

Good story. Not sure why all the BTB trolls want to rag on the wife. They both hurt each ithrr and acted like juveniles. Then real life came at them and smashed them in the face (her literally) and they realized what was important and lost not just their stuff but also their bullshit attitude towards one another. And no her stunt with Tim wasn't any worse than the shot he pulled with Sue. Yeah she was pissed, but if you calim she wa saying to cheat, then that is your projection not the author's, as though she got drunk and pissed didn't mean she was giving Tim.a blowjob in the car. How were her texts more awful than what they both had been saying to each other. Be real.

I liked it. I had a friend some time back. He and his wife lived in a small McMansion that they invested a lot of money fixing up with dreams of getting it on the historical registry. It was built sometime prior to the war between the states. I don't know if it was because of medical reasons or by choice but they had no kids. In the game room over the bar, they had a sign that said, "He who owns the most toy when he dies, WINS." I ride by the old farm that's all overgrown and I wonder, what ever happened to them.

He should have looked at the accident report to find the cause of Tim's erratic driving. Did the EMTs find Tim's severed cock in her mouth?

Was the accident caused by Tim being drunk, or the other driver? If Tim, perhaps his estate could have been sued. If the other driver, he could have been sued. Not sure why that was not investigated!

I liked this story.

Anyway, his bad investment that started this off, made them a better couple. A heavy cost for her though.

A really good and touching Story. Real people in an unfortunate situation that was all their doing. But they are now all the better for it.
