"Um ... uh ..." I tried to think of an excuse, but I couldn't. "Damn it ... no," my voice dropped to a whisper and I hung my head, "no ... [sigh] ... I didn't get permission."
"That's what I figured," she responded. "Well, then, I'm going to have to punish you. You must be here at home at 9 PM tomorrow night and I'll give you an appropriate punishment, and I will be in complete control, just the way Mr. Daniels is. Any disobedience from you and I'll report it to him. Understood?"
