The Family Ritual Ch. 33

"Hayley and I talked about taxes today." Jake said.

"Ah so she beat me to the punch, I would have told you that all your income taxes are paid for by the family trust and the corporation. You don't have to worry about it. We pay more than our share. Just sign the tax return and it's done. So have you registered for school?" Blake asked.

"I have and I'll be returning to school in the fall. From now until I plan to spend some time with my wife and work on getting adjusted to married life." Jake said.

"Enjoy your time in Italy and have fun in Los Angeles." Blake said.

"How did you know we were going to California?" Jake asked.

"I have my ways. Jake if you need anything or if something happens that you need my help, please call. The family is here for you too and I think very soon you'll find that out." Blake said mysteriously.

"Anything I should know?" Jake asked.

"No, just know that you are a member of this family now and we work for everyone. So again welcome to the family and have a great honeymoon. You and Hayley can see your son and Hayley's sister when you return."

"Have a very good night Blake and I'm sorry if I disturbed you." Jake said as he stared out over the Lake and saw the sun over the horizon.

"You have a safe trip home. Give a kiss to Hayley for me. Congratulations again." Blake said and hung up.

Jake spent some time thinking about Matthew and Helen. He didn't want them to take care of his kid. He wanted to do something special for Carlos and for Camilla. It wasn't their fault they had two different fathers.

Hayley woke up to find Jake missing. She was sure he was thinking about his son. Hayley felt a little betrayed even though she knew why Jake did it. She would keep that inside her heart until their child was born. At some point in time, Jake would make it up to her, of that she was certain.

Mason held Daniela in his arms. Millie and his mother were taking care of the babies so they could have some time alone as well as some sleep.

"You know it's quiet. I'm not used to this." Daniela said.

"Neither am I. No crying. It's kind of scary." Mason laughed.

"My father is returning tomorrow to see the babies. The house will be full." Daniela said.

"I was thinking about that. Let's pick up your father and continue on to the house. I need to take a few days off from the restaurant and I think." Mason said kissing Daniela's neck, "I think you and I need some time. This apartment is getting more crowded by the moment. At the house we'll all have a place to spread out."

Daniela sighed and turned to Mason, "Have I said thank you to you?"

"Thank me for what?" Mason said perplexed.

Daniela kissed his cheek, "For all of this. These children are not yours biologically, yet you've welcomed them as if they are. You are the best father. I promise you that I will be the best wife you could ever have and we will have children of our own."

Mason smiled, "I already have children of my own. I couldn't love Carlos and Camilla any more. They are a part of my life and my family. Don't mention it again and...you are the best person for me. I love you Daniela and I will do anything and everything to make you happy."

Mason tilted her face up to his and kissed her passionately. "How many weeks did the doctor say before we can do the nasty?"

Daniela laughed, "We have about four weeks, do you think you can hold out. I have other ways to take care of you."

Mason chuckled, "I'm too tired. Let's wait until the kids are sleeping at least six hours then maybe we can resume. It will be interesting fucking you. I've only known your pregnant pussy, so it will be all new for me."

Daniela laughed and Mason hugged her tighter. They soon fell asleep wrapped in each other's arms.

Lady Catherine Chadwell was feeding her namesake and having a conversation, "You, my little Catherine will be very wealthy and very powerful. I will help arrange a good marriage for you, maybe even to the Prince. Yes, I will, your grandmother will make sure that you and your brother have the best life. You are after all Cassidy's."

Lady Chadwell thought about the future and couldn't wait until her father died...
