Click hereNow the shiver climbed my spine. I looked closer and almost in a whisper said, "I see it. A black cat. Over by Oliver's grave."
The shiver passed to Ron and back again to me. Then the shadowy figure silently moved off into the fog. Ron breathed, "There are lots of black cats."
I relaxed, the mood changed and I said, "Yes, lots of cats. And as Sandburg said, 'They move on little fog feet.' Or something like that anyway."
We remained sitting there for some time longer until we could just see the sky beginning to get lighter. We watched the sun come up on a new day. A new day, a new me. Last night I put away childish things, as did Ron. The new day would see us as man and woman. And, I was sure, for many, many days to come.
Great story, well written. "GforGraham" must have severe trouble understanding what he reads.
A pleasing little romantic story. The rather sweet idea that sexual intercourse moves you from boy or girl to man or woman. I did like the cat!
Feels like a story only half finished. A part two would be nice.
Great writing.
Really a very romantic and nice story to read. Perfectly expressed in my opinion.
It has really delighted me.
I would like the author to write a sequel to this story, as they marry, his life at October House, children, etc.
I think this story deserves.
5* for you.
I apologize for my English, is not my native language.
Thank you, jfremont, for authoring a real romance story in the Romance category. It seems too many authors lately don't know what romance is. You do.
