This returned his attention to me instantly, his eyes more nervous than before jerking over my features searching for answers of his own.
"Alright," he said after a moment. "Ask me anything."
"Where'd you get all the random shit?"
He laughed, harder than I'd seen him laugh before.
"I'm a demon." As if that explained everything and I was an idiot for asking in the first place. My face must have told him that his response was a mistake, because he started explaining further immediately.
