Click here"Never mind." She said, embarrassed. "It's the thought that counts."
"Yeah." Coach Blue said, sitting back down.
Coach Blue fidgeted as he thought about what he had to get done. Finally, he mustered up the courage to speak.
"Listen." He said. "I was…uhhh….kind of hoping that….uhhhh….maybe we could finish? Er…I mean, finish what we started. This morning."
Laura's eyes gleamed with excitement as she heard these words. She put her glass down and stood up.
"Let me go get ready!" she said, before making her way to the bedroom.
Coach Blue waited a few minutes, mentally preparing himself for what he was about to do. After a while, he heard Laura calling from the bedroom.
"Steven! I'm ready…"
He looked towards the bedroom and shivered. Then, he picked up the wine bottle and took one long swig before joining his wife.
Thanks, Alix, for another superb episode in this monumental story. The scene with Coach Blue and Brooke Biguns in the jewelry shop has become one of my all time favourites! Really great work!
I'd quit trying to find your submissions a while back, checked today and was pleasantly surprised. Well done
Good work Alix. Deep, insightful...a bit depressing because of the contrast of reality to fantasy, which eventually always comes to slap most men in the face. It's sad that people get bored in their lives and often with the person they partnered with and resort to fantasies but I think it's mostly human nature - an inability to hold onto the value of the things they found most dear once upon a time. Not just women or men, but their homes, their possessions - nothing is ever good enough for eternity. Must be a genetic, nearly universal form of ADD. Yet some people do overcome, or find a way to press through that phase and return to be content in valuing the things they did when they were younger. I wonder if Coach Blue will.
Good job! Take care.
I thought it was excellent, it wasnt just about the character trying to get in bed with the next girl he see's, the conflicts, both physical and mental, were great to read, and i cant wait for the next chapter. Just some constructive criticism, i would personally like to see Coach blue get back at Brittany and Brooke somehow in the next chapter, keep up the good work
This is one of your best work, because it doesn't just depict a fantasy-land romp through a sea of women who are easily encouraged. The juxtapositioning of the disdain for his wife's sexuality that is readily available versus the heavenly beauty that is just out of reach was surprising, as this sort of symbolism isn't usually found in stories like this. I wish you all the best in the next chapter. I hope you haven't forgotten about your other series either!
