'I would say nine out of ten of them.'

'Exactly! But now that your way is leading, I don't have to try and "beat" you. The only thing I need to worry about is: Does Bryan's idea make sense? And if it does, there are no worries. And if it doesn't, then I can say something and Bryan will listen to me because that's how he operates. So when I realised that, I simply asked you your strategy and you explained it. And not only do I agree with what you said, but it was a hundred times better than anything I would have come up with.'

Becky brushed hair on his forehead with her fingertips.

'In other words, I am very happy with you and very happy with our marriage,' she said. 'Now can we please, please, please fuck?'

'I love it when you beg.'

'You're a bastard.'

Bryan smiled and kissed her. Becky kissed back, her mouth on his mouth, determined to prevent any further discourse. Bryan shifted his body, Becky pressed her feet into the bed, lifting her hips and opening herself up. Bryan's cock found the entrance to her vagina and he slid himself in. Becky cried out, grabbed him and begged for more.

Was Bryan a man who knew how to love a woman?

Who's to say? But he was certainly a man who knew how to fuck Becky Sandford. And although that may not be the perfect ending to a fairy tale, it was certainly a happy ending for them.

"Dear God, please show me how to be a good mother. I swear I will do anything to be the best mother I can be for this little girl." '

'Now that is a vow,' he said. 'And tell me, Becky ... have you ever, even for a moment, been tempted to break it?'

/

Yes, she was tempted to break it. People who say “she’s a good mother even though she cheated on her husband” are WRONG! A woman who committed adultery has set a VERY bad example for her children. There’s no separation between wife and mother. The roles are intertwined.

'Bryan, I can't help how I felt!'

'I'm not saying you can. I'm not even saying you should.'

/

Yes, she absolutely CAN help how she feels! Humans are capable of choosing our emotions, and our desires. By telling her that he doesn’t expect her to control her feelings, the husband is saying that she’s an incomplete person. A child who will never grow up.

/

If that’s the case, then she should be kept away from their daughter, and not allowed to influence her. She also shouldn’t be allowed to have any more children.

/

If the premise is that ALL women are incapable of emotional control, then the fundamentalist Muslims are completely right. If a woman can’t be trusted, and doesn’t really have free will, then she can’t be held accountable for anything. If someone can’t be held responsible, then they must have a legal guardian!

This version was ok but I didn’t really like the solution. The only way to solve this is for Linda to connect with Jim on a human level. There is no other person on the planet like Jim so if that is the basis of her love no other guy will measure up.

The obey thing just glosses over the problem without really addressing it so she is still going to want to cheat again at some stage and the resentment that would build over time from being Jim’s subordinate will probably make it happen. The “you don’t own me” mentality will come back worse than before and likely end the marriage.

I loved this one -- it is so much deeper than the other February Sucks versions.

Prose and dialog is extremely well written. But this was too over the top with male vs female perspectives on unconditional love. And the "obey" came off as a tacky solution. Can understand unease and distrust after ther Marcus incident, but it went from a marital issue to a some philosophical sophistry. People are individuals and complex. Blanket statements about human behavior are narrow minded.
