Vampire Micheal Ch. 04

I had made it to the bottom floor and almost slid into the wall. The ground was covered in blood and my deepest fears were realized. I gazed around but there was no sign of whose blood it belonged to; furthermore, there was too much blood for it to have been a small cut. I could see that people around me were frightened and had their hands over their mouths in horror. This had to be a nightmare. Yes, this isn't real; perhaps if I close my eyes and count to three it will go away. Ok, so here it goes; one, two, three and no such luck. The blood was still there and I was still inside a living nightmare.

Michael came walking down the stairs at that moment and the look on his face disturbed me. He didn't seem shocked or upset. No, he actually was smiling. I didn't have time to think too much on it. I had decided to follow the blood and see where it led to? I was now in the living room and my mouth dropped open as I walked in. There standing in the middle of the room was a woman with blood on her hands and on her lips. She was holding some guy by the throat and I could see that he had vampire bite marks on his neck. She grinned as I walked in and then dropped the guy onto the floor. He didn't even move an inch as he came to rest at her feet. "Oh my god, is he dead?" That was what I asked myself as I stared at him lying on the floor. Michael bowed before the woman with a smile and then rose back up to his feet. It looked as though the two knew each other and I heard him say to this strange woman,

"My lady, I have prepared the people for your arrival. Things are exactly as you wished."

The woman gazes around at everyone in the room and at those standing in all the dark shadowy corners.

"I do see that you have done well and your efforts will not go unnoticed. You will receive your reward soon enough."The woman old Michael before she returned her attention on everyone in the room and spoke again but this time her words was meant for them,"My name is Lilith. Some of you might know me from the stories about my history."

My eyes grew wider and I had that funny feeling. You know the kind I am talking about? The type that makes you believe you are in a dream. I kept telling myself that this was not happening. What had we done? Reward? She made it sound as though, Michael had did these things for personal gain and to think that we thought he had just been some horny guy wanting to have some fun with us. I stared at Lilith and thought I was surely losing my mind. The woman then moved so fast that I hardly was able to see her if it were not for the blur that flashed by me. I heard another scream behind me and spun around to find that Lilith now had another male against the wall. She ripped into his neck and began to devour the blood from the wound. It was at this point that people started panicking and sprinted for the exits. Soon it was just me, Brianna; Mary and her two new lovers; Alexis and Ben all standing in the room as we stared back at the woman next to the wall which was now covered in blood. My parents were going to kill me, even if this woman did not. Lilith dropped the guy she had been feeding from and walked back to the center of the room. She stood there looking around at us before she spoke again,

"You all will obey me. I am your new leader. Now come away with me accept a world of pure pleasure for we shall rule the world in darkness."

"Like hell we are going to obey you. I am not going to follow anyone that just murdered two people."I boldly told the woman.

Lilith turned her eyes upon me with a smirk as she answered,

"Trust me dear, they are not dead. They are just waiting for me to wake them up and then they will help us take over the world."

I watched as the woman turned and knelt down over the two males. I thought I had seen it all but the two males rose up right off the ground. The shook themselves off and turned to look around. Their eyes were unlike anything I had ever seen. They were different and were blood red. One of the males grinned when a female with short blonde hair, that reached only down to her shoulders, and a thin black tank top that had a 'hello kitty' pattern across the front walked out of kitchen. The tank top was low cut and was showing a massive amount of cleavage. She had black eye-liner around her eyelids and her hair hung down slightly in front of her left eye.

"Well, what do we have here? I know of one pussy cat I would like to pet right now. So, why don't you come along and I will give the kitty something to play with?" The male said as he stared at the girl.

The girl must have been drunk off her ass, because she had obviously missed the previous events. She actually stared back at him and giggled as she answered, "Sure, you look kind of cute anyways."

I sprinted over to her and dragged her away from the guy, before he could have himself a midnight snack.

Lilith stepped closer to me as she spoke once more,"That will be enough. I will not have you taking away fresh food for my children."

I had just about seen enough. There were far too many vampires involved here for our little small town. I counted 11 from just what I knew so far. It was hard to believe that it had only been a week since this all had started. I grapped the girl's hand and sprinted to the door. The others didn't have to be told to leave. Brianna, Alexis and Ben all follow me. I didn't see Mary move but I didn't have time to stop and see if she was following; indeed, I was more concerned with saving my own ass. I figured that she would catch up with us. I hit the lawn outside the house and slipped on a mud puddle in the yard from recent rainfall. While I was down, I gazed back through the open door to see that the woman and Michael were making no attempt to follow us. I got back to my feet and jumped into Brianna's car which she already had running and I slammed the door as I turned to them and said,

"What the hell is going on?"

The car tires squealed as we took off and sped around the corner. I could see that Brianna was totally freaking out. I couldn't blame her because she had just found out that a coldhearted vampire was living right next door to her house.

"I don't having any clue but this is all like some fucked up movie. Did you hear that woman talking about how she wanted to take over the world?" Alexis asked from the front seat as she stared over at Brianna.

Brianna didn't say anything immediately but then she answered, "Yes, I was standing right next to her when she appeared. She pounced on Brian like she was a tiger and he was a piece of meat."

So one of the male's names was Brian but I still didn't know who the other male was.

"What are we going to do now? We can't go back to my house and I don't think it would be a good idea to hide out in your house Brianna." I asked and was relieved when Brianna slowed the car back to within the speed limit.

"How about we hide out at my house? I don't think they know where I am staying." Alexis told us.

It seemed like a good idea. I stole a look at Ben sitting beside me and the girl wearing the hello kitty outfit beside him. I realized that the both of them had not said anything and were probably wondering a lot more than we ourselves were.

"That is a better plan than anything I can come up with.Brianna told Alexis before she turned the car and headed to Alexis house.

I had only been to Alexis house once and so I wasn't perfectly sure where it was located but I knew the roundabout of it's location. Silence soon replaced the talking inside the car and all that could be heard was the low hum of the motor. I was left inside my own thoughts. There had been about fifty kids at the party and I was sure that all of them had seen what Lilith had done. I knew there were going to be a lot of questions soon from adults at the school and probably the police department as well. What about my parents? I didn't know what we were going to say or do? I wasn't looking forward to the next few days but we had just pulled into Alexis' driveway and so put those thoughts away for the moment. We got out and everyone went inside. I had a bad feeling but I couldn't decide what it meant; however, I knew this was just the beginning. All I could think of was, "What had we done?"I just hoped we could fix things before it was too late.
