Kelly always had a ravenous sexual appetite, but felt the need to stifle it in her early adulthood. Societal norms and prejudices made her feel as if her sexuality made her a "bad girl," someone who could never be happy.
Having reached what the Europeans call "a certain age," she has found new freedom with a compatible sex partner and greater self-confidence that helps her flout convention and experiment with new things.
