When left to my own devices I tend to mostly write intense, dark, raw character-driven material, with recurring themes of corruption, moral confusion, cult-like behavior, sinister coercion, extreme humiliation, and power imbalances. At the same time erotic writing for me is all about having fun and not taking anything too seriously, which is an easier headspace to get into when I collaborate with a willing partner.
