I have no words. This broke my heart. Bittetsweet. Tears came to my eyes. Surprised me how intensely, caught me off guard. The tears were there before I even felt the grief so recently, never forgotten how she loved me & I loved her. Cancer took her sweet soul way too soon. She was too young. We were too young to suffer what we already knew about life & fairness & there's no guarantees as you stumble, sometimes witj purpose, meandering, navigating, stumbling through life.

Thanks for this gem of a poem. I've now, unfortunatel, binge read everything you've written & desperately wish there was more. Your prose is brilliant, beautiful, sensual, sexy, heartfelt, authentic. Your characters are vivid, realistic, lifelike. Your plotlines are wonderful, realistic & rich. The wit & smartness of your style is a pleasure to read & I'm greatful for your generosity in sharing your work.
