Du Hun, this is a beauty!
All those memories, the feelings,
times you thought forgotten. I had
flashbacks of my chlidhood and
teen romances, my school report
which always said 'bright girl if
she only paid attention! lol.
Thank you for this emotional rollercoster
of a poem, beautifully and intelligently
written as always.
Makes me want to go and rummage through
my cardboard box of memories I keep under
my bed.
This poem will stay with me all day,
wonderful work my friend.
Thanks
~ JC
This is an insightful poem. Using more active verbs instead of gerunds would strengthen it greatly.
one can open their life and allow others to share moments of past intimate details and feelings and you did that so gracious...really soulful du..thanks for sharing this with all...blue
what is one mans trash is another mans treasure <grin> and your poem is a gem, touching on what we all go through eventually, thanks Du for the enlightenment, the pen and for the patience to show others how to write. (~_*)
the trash , there are those worth keeping, memories of tears , and years , some laughter... i have been there to the past paradise, and some things better left alone, in the blackness with bunnies... and then there are , those worth keeping.... a piece of my heart, you grabbed.. sGp
