too technical, it reads like an anatomy textbook, and you get no real connection to the story. though i find it interesting the author thinks the belly button to be a substitute, it's just too weird. add more human feeling and stop messing with the stomach and belly button and then maybe, just maybe, it'll be a halfway decent story
