I don't always do that because some authors just like praise, it feeds their creative drive and that is cool. I as an author prefer constructive criticism and I find it much more useful than simple (possibly overstated) praise. But an author of free stories deserves to choose what kind of feedback he or she gets, so some input from you on what you want to hear from us, would be good.
