I hope by Chapter 3 the boys realize that they not only lust after each other's mothers, but that they lust after their own mothers as well! Maybe when they find out that their mothers have actually been more than friends for years.

This is a very well written and engaging piece of work. I'm interested to see where the the story will lead. Oh - don't worry about potential 'plagiarism'. I haven't read the other tale to which you pay homage, but I am sure that yours is a very individual take on the topic. Bear in mind that there are only seven notes in the scale and then consider the volume of music that has utilised these seven notes over the ages.

Long and drawn out discussion about trading mother/son dates with each other. Now the mothers will need to agree to being on a double date with their friend’s son ( you did say the mothers were friends).
