"We should finish cleaning you up," Nightwing mutters. I sigh as I agree, and we quickly finish cleaning me. Then we get out of the bathtub, I undo the plug, and we begin to dry off.
We creep back into the bedroom, and I'm grateful that Demetra doesn't wake up as we walk in. Nightwing and I climb into bed, still stark naked, and cuddle into each other, our legs intertwined and her head resting on my chest. We push into each other, trying to get as physically close as possible. Our breathing deepens, and after a while, I feel myself slip into unconsciousness.

Sorry this took so long. I had an internship at Goldman Sachs over the summer, so I didn't have much time to write. Also, I had a lot of writer's block for this chapter - this was the fifth iteration, but I really liked it.
I hope you did too. Btw, next chapter, expect the conflict to continue.

IlliterateScholarabout 4 years ago...That we can convince you to come back and finish this story? It has such an interesting sci-fi fantasy mashup plot, and I really love the characters. It's kinda too bad there isn't a mechanism on Lit by which an author can gift a story to another author so that they can take over writing it when the original author gets bored, gets blocked, or has no time to finish writing it. There are thousands upon thousands of serial stories on Lit with no end, and it makes it really hard to enjoy reading anything here.
