This Writer has thrown everything into this story, except the kitchen sink. All sorts of criminal activity, betrayal, witness protection, a sensous love life between her main characters against a backdrop of illegal activity that keeps this story fairly crackling with suspense. Especially attractive is the undercurrent of tenderness. A rich Read!
Has been mentioned in the New Story Reviews thread on the Lit forum (Author's Hangout).
Well, initially, I was going to gripe about a somewhat uneven opening. But in the end, this story turns out to be one of the most unique, and in any event, most outstanding pieces of work I've seen in this venue. Okay, I'm a sucker for happy endings, which we didn't have here. But this story was well-crafted, and all very logical. You did well.

Really loved the way you developed the story. I could see and hear the characters, everything was so realistic. The end was a little rushed, but its easy to understand, you took a novel and fit it into a short story. Great work
thank you. starcrossed loving tales are always so very bittersweet.
Carmen did the dishes for him. GREAT STORY!!!!
Thanks:
Enjoyed the well told story very much, however I think George would find a way to share the pain with Bolton.
