I love reading your stories Jaz. You wring so much emotion out of each one. Some of them make me cry, some make me sigh with pleasure, they pretty much ALL make me laugh... This one has a sigh, several actually. The scene with Freya and Nors was so sweetly satisfying, my eyes misted with "happy tears", but Annie's acceptance of Rayne and Rafe and Gard's acceptance of each other both feel like all of the loose threads are starting to come together.

I'm looking forward to the last chapter because I want to know how it ends but at the same time I'm dreading the last chapter because I don't WANT it to end.

Rafe is my favorate character in your tales so I was suprised that his mate wasn't in the family meeting. As the alpha bitch of the most important pack in the world I felt like she was missed. I think she is pregnant (right? I am not going to do any rereading until the final chapter is posted) but still I figured she would be at least as important to the inner family as Mara.

I'm also throwing 5 bucks into the pool for one of the vampire assasins to end up mated to one of the hybrid children.

As always. What a trip you have taken us on; every emotion wrung out of your readers like water on a stone. To be able to weave such wonderful characters and to be able to make them so believable, touchable, lovable, aggravating, and frustrating and to make them so absolutely real to your readers is nothing short of genius. The depth and soul you give life to in these magical places in your mind is staggering to behold.

I do however wish to add my 2 cents worth in though about wanting that last chapter desperately, lol. I am also in agreement though, that in having that next chapter, it will be over and that thought saddens me beyond comprehension. Please assure us, your devoted, crazed, addicted, and entirely lovable groupies that you have something in store for us soon concerning the children (and a love interest for one of the boys named Reasa...lol)

I just loved the way Freya took those teenage boys in hand. She has really begun to blossom. And I had wondered why Annie hadn't been on the scene until now; she loves Rafe and his pack. It is interesting that it was big bad Demetri who understood and knocked some sense into Caleb.

He has grown and softened since meeting Annie and then Mara. And now they are on track with a plan. I hope your ending this story will mean the start of another sequel!

Ok so I remembered reading that today was posting day and my DSL went out! I was on the phone yelling at them 20 minutes later and they said there was a line down in my area and would take 4 hours to fix. My phone won't load story pages so I got another phone and could barely make out the text. I called ATT again and let them have it some more. Miraculously I had DSL in 20 minutes!! LOL Now I must tell you that when I saw four pages, my head fell back and I was just so relieved:-) It was awesome. Your stories are so awesome that they make me fight with ATT for my right to read:-)

Another sublime chapter in a magnificent series of stories about the Families. Your work seems to have inspired others and I see that you've leant a hand to a few were authors, but, frankly, you're still the Leader of the Pack!!!

For us fans, take a look at "Call of the Wild" that just came out today (Wednesday). The author shows promise and the tale is worth a high score.

I can only agree that you are well and truly the leader of the pack. You weave excellent stories that seem to inspire many to try something similar. With varying success. But so far, nothing has come even close to your work, both in scope and skill.

You continue to amaze me and quite probably a lot of others. Especially with the way you set up the bridges between the stories. I can already see the next one, were one of the praetorians finds his mate amongst the hybrids and the whole secret is about to be blown. At least I hope that I am seeing another story there.

Btw. short question. Do you have an overlying story arc? Meaning have you set an end point for the whole thing, or is it just developing? Just curious.

What wasn't in this chapter? I love the fact that Rayne and Gard are going to have a baby. For all that grief these two have had in their lives, to have found eachother and starting a family already just feels right. And to discover that Caleb wasn't being so wonderful after all, but rather an asshole. Having the memory of your past experiences must be hard and Caleb just overreacted with fear of loosing Annie again. So no, he's not now and never has been an asshole. He just loves Annie so much. And the Queen, I like the way she takes charge. She see's a problem and comes up with the only real solution, She just kicks ass. But she is no "Annie". I really like Annie. She is the thread that hold everyone together. Would actually like to be more like her.

I feel like you are setting up the next story with the new characters you are adding. You have brought back all of my boys(vamps)which would seem to indicate a need for some "Mean Motherfuckers" My boys can fight! Could your new story hopefully be the next of this WWC saga? I hope so because I can't imagine you not writing more of it.

I look forward to the next chapter with sadness/excitement, not know what the future means to this storyline, but whatever you write I will read.

I love learning new things about characters that have been with us for a while! It makes them more alive for me!

In the last couple of chapters we've been shown sides of Demitri, Caleb, Mara, Nors and Freya that we hadn't before. It strengthened my "loyalty" to these characters and made them more desirable to know.

A earlier poster asked that you continue the saga of the Hanlon / Armand-Hanlon families and friends . . . I second that request!

I was so happy when I saw this chapter did not end at 2 and/or just barely stretch into page 3. Loving the plot! I do wonder how long this series will be? I don't know if we're going to see the Praetorians or if you put the children in a situation where they need protection. Oh! and I want to know more about their powers. Liam, I think, is the cutest of them all.

This is the first time I've given you 4 stars. It's getting sort of annoying how these phrases keep on repeating throughout the story: "sweet one" "you amaze me" "his heart swelled with love." I just wish there were other way of saying that because it gets so repetitive and it takes away from the dialogue. Otherwise, I believe you are one of a few gems literotica has to offer.

i so love the story, i hope there is more about freya.. she does have this mysterious power in her that is yet unknown. her character also opens the reality of a persons deep suffering and yet be like a powerful caring and loving protector in the end.

I know I've been a little remiss is commenting lately. I also believe you said you were going to leave this story line for a while and work on other stuff, but I have a feeling that you will pick it back up again considering what you just dropped in this chapter and there's only one more left with this story.

I know others have said it before, and more will say it after, but AWESOME JOB! I'm glad that Gard and Rafe are cool w/ each other now. For a while now I've had this little itch to know more about Stefan and Emily...if there's more to know.

That was a lot of information but it wasn't overwhelming or confusing. It just opens up a lot of avenues for where the story goes next. Do we watch the children grow up? Do we follow Pietro to Europe and learn his story? Do we see the mysterious MacKenzie train others and perhaps find his other half? Wherever you take us, I'm coming along for the ride. Looking forward to the conclusion of this story and the continuation with the next.

I love the story but I'm going to be so sad when it ends! And I agree with some of the previous comments about following Pietro's trip to Europe. Oh gosh, you can't end it yet! We need to know what happens!!

I have loved this series so much. I started with Long Walk Home as my first taste of this story arc when it showed up as a suggestion.. from there i went back and read from the beginning and not once has it let me down plotwise. I few minor grammatical errors but in most cases i read past them. I know what you meant and i understand the excitement at releasing your baby out there. Small errors slip through the cracks. Hell, you even see it happen in published books.

Really hoping that after a break you feel ready to come back to these characters as i agree that while you appear to be leaving the pack in a happy place there is so many more stories that could be told without flogging the proverbial dead horse.

I can't pick a favourite... i am partial to Demetri if only he is the one i can really visualise and i have to suspect if you did infact style him after a real person... would i be correct in that assumption?

I hate the fact that you're taking a break I can honestly empathize. Real life has been hard for most of us and it is becoming more and more difficult to focus on the imaginary world. Loved loved loved the series so far! So do not let what i am about to say be a negative reflection of your writing. You are truly a very very talented writer or i wouldn't be leaving a comment. But I only gave this chapter a 4! If i have to be honest- this obsession that everyone has with Annie is just a bit too much. Yes you've shown us that she a great person and a queen and just fantastic but - it's just a little too annoying when it's mentioned over and over and over again to the point where we want to question exactly what the heck it is that is so great about her to begin with. There are many other fantastic characters In the story who are equally deserving of recognition. All this highlighting of Annie I feel is unnecessary and a bit too exaggerated! In the end, regardless of all that- it is your story And an amazing one at that!

Okay seriously, who ever this anonymous person is that said that Annie is fucking annoying can go suck a dildo. Annie doesn't think that at all. But she does believe that she should have been there to protect her family, spare them the hurt of the attack. Their pain is her pain and because of who she is, both Annie and Akatrine, and how she was raise, she would spare them as much pain as she can. So you can pucker up and kiss the darkest part of my lily white ass.

do not like how Annie shows a complete disregard for Gard. She is coming to terms with being the queen, but she is not properly acknowledging him as a brother. She has told him his services as a Guardian are no longer needed, then when will she truly acknowledge him as a brother and show him the same affection and concern as she shows to Rafe? not pleased with their "lack" of relationship at all. Kinda glad its the last chapter, don't know how much more of her I can stomach.

Love the story. It took me a while to get back with the series...glad that I got back with it. This story has been great. I love the characters, new and old. Kick ass writing as always. I am a bit confused by the Praetorians idea though. How would the children know who to trust if the Praetorians had to swoop in to protect them? I also assume the Praetorians would have to learn more about the children and their abilities to best help them which would make it impossible to keep them anonymous, at least to Rayne. I'm sure you had it all worked out and I'll see how..I just was trying to think it through. I wonder if the original Praetorians were reborn too? That would be interesting if they reincarnated and were present in vamps that could be found. I also wondered, why did the vamps that hit bother with Day and Freya? Was it just that they got in the way as they made their way to the compound? They got pretty close for some younglings and a young elder. It will be very interesting to see who is behind it. It was really nice to see Gard and Rayne are having a little one. Interesting thing will be if Freya has a baby. Isn't she the first female mate to be a vampire and not a wolf so it would be interesting if she is able to reproduce and carry a fetus in the same way the male vamps were able to father the hybrid kids.

Sorry but I also agree Annie is annoying, thought so even before Anakatrine. She and Rafe both can be annoying. They're new to the supernatural scene and yet have always acted like everyone should bow down to them, when they don't always show the respect to others that they should. Rafe's treatment of Jared for one. Always second guessing him and dismissing how much older Jared was and how long he'd been an Alpha. I know he loves him, but it was annoying. I think Jared got a lot of undeserved flak, from the mated Vampires too. I still miss him and Millie a lot and will always want to see more of them.

Annie is not annoying! She is the sweetest person in this dynamics. She is really the "heart".
