Thanks for the comment. I consider ‘A New Flame’ to be a gay story because the majority of the sexual descriptions in it are about men having sex. If it was listed in one of the straight categories, I think reaction to it would be negative.

Hi there. I've read some of your other stories and I can see the same issue in this one (alongside with this not being a gay story).

It boils down to the dialogue/writing being so wooden, sometimes laughably.

Some sentences made me think: "Do people, other than psychiatrists, actually talk like this?"

Perhaps lowering the level of formality in your writing might make it more fluid and believable.

Otherwise I may keep on reading your characters as wealthy aristocrats in a Victorian setting. That would be great for a non-sexual story.

Which ever section it was placed in someone would probably protest. It's fine by me right where it is. Best of all is it is a great story.

You are a terrific writer. I do like the high level language that Robert uses, and is not "Victorian" is classy. Not everyone is commonly vulgar.
