I'm sorry, but there's no way I'm believing there's a gym with unisex showers or that a woman who wanted to avoid lustful glances during her workout would continue to patronize a gym that would force her to be naked in the same space as naked men if she wanted to shower.

It would be far more believable if Zoe and Nick were the only people in the gym (aside from staff) at that hour, and Zoe simply chose to enter the Men's shower.
