This woman is supposed to be a loving mother who is depress because her kids are with their dad for the summer( 3 months ). She is not looking to become a vampire. I would believe more of a merciless pregnancy for her than a future as a vampire without her kids.

Dear Anony, you must learn to read more carefully. He specifically stated she would continue to be a loving mother raising her children, as well as working her job helping people. They would supply trusted caretakers to watch over her children at night while they sleep so she would be available to him in the evenings. That hardly sounds like the stereotypical heartless vampire.

I wonder what it would be like carrying & raising vampire children. It would give a whole new meaning to the common parental admonishment, "Don't play with your food, dear." (giggles)
