a few details

You've got a good story here except for a few details that kinda stick out really bad. Springwood is an American town which means that European spelling and terminology is way out of place.

"tyre" ought to be "tire", "lorry" would be "truck", "knickers" would be "panties"

The school that Nancy & her friends attend is Springwood High school, yet several times you refer to it as a college yet college is equivalent to university and comes after graduation from high school.

American high schools have a Principal, not a headmaster as the chief authority.

"sick bay" would be the nurse's office and is generally a very minimal medical facility.

A public school would never have a "religious instruction teacher"
