Some background info would have been informative to make this an interesting story.

Who, what, why, and when would have helped to set the scene. So *** for part 1.

Great writing

Engaging, suspenseful. You held my interest all the way. Oh, and the dialogue is excellent. Well, actually, everything about this start is very classy indeed. You're a first class act altogether. Please post more.
