All Comments on 'A Picture to Paint Pt. 01'

A very promising start, but it's news to me that Picasso died poor and unknown.

I agree with the previous Anon's comment about Picasso. In fact, very many great painters from the Renaissance onwards were famous (and often wealthy) in their lifetimes. It's not a terrible error but enough to put some readers off. I also found Marissa's comment about '...a cop-out...' slightly implausible. I think any serious art collector would understand that painters paint because they have to, just in the way that writers write because they have to. Read through your work very carefully and try to weed out things like this---it will improve your story greatly.

It ain't history class, it's a story. And the characters speak, maybe right, maybe wrong. Move on...
