This is a highly unusual story with sci-fi/fantasy elements in it, mixed with adventure, danger, drama, intrigue, and romance. A superb plot, careful character development, all balanced perfectly with beautifully written descriptive love scenes, make for an outstanding story in every respect. One of the most unusual stories on the site, A Promise By Moonlight works in spite of its seemingly disparate elements, thanks to the skill of the author in tying them all together perfectly. The romantic scene at the conclusion of the final chapter is most fitting, and is a joy to read. The story gets five stars only because six cannot be given.
