This story was a finely crafted example of superb writing in a short story. The use of the photograph to tie the recollection was stellar. It was very nearly tear jerking as it spoke to the love shared. Mercy, that was a very nice job.

One thing: it's irritating when you keep saying 'this woman,' when you could have more easily and smoothly just said 'she' or 'her.' No idea why you did that; it distances the reader from the character.

Bloody Perfect.
