Would have been better like this-

Chiquita and Aaron are lying on the ground in the forest staring at the moon and stars.

“They are left stranded on this island since they were eight years old.”

They WERE left stranded….

I didn't get past this point, incredibly juvenile writing.

That was harsh, but I do appreciate the feedback. I believe the errors threw you off enough to not enjoy the whole story, which is a shame.
