Knowing that readers like what I've written is the only compensation for writing. And I know that not everyone likes/enjoys these stories - I don't mind constructive criticism and if I can learn from it, so much the better. I'm always trying to do a better job, describe scenes better, find new ways to go over similar events.

On the other hand, I don't usually take other's ideas and try to write to them. My mind doesn't work that way I'm afraid!
