I've spent the better part of two days antsy and waiting for the next installment - it's 5am here and I just finished reading it for the second time. You're probably my favorite writer actively posting at this time, and it's always a treat to see what you've written.

I loved this chapter and it was well worth the wait but I can't help but add that I'm a little disappointed that Drew wasn't actually featured in this chapter. I guess it makes you such a good writer because you have completed sucked me in & begging for more! Please, I need to know how Sam & Drew's relationship develops!!

There was nearly nothing interesting in this chapter. Marco's conversation with Sam was boring beyond par.

the only part that lost me was the suggestion of Sam and Drew getting pregnant. seems like all the romance stories i read end with babies...! i know she runs a maternity shop, but... eh.

poor marco too: he obviously wants to make an impression on sam, using the park's (ironic) glitzy surrounds to woo her with his business proposition. i am not sure that he has more than biz on his mind, although what he said in the taxi seems to hint at that. but it could merely be him hoping that without any other emotional ties to england, she'd be more willing to move to italy.

hmmm...a great opportunity for sam...to get out of her mother's orbit of disappointment and heartbreak. and to escape from the pain of seeing drew with someone else.

I don't think this is a boring chapter. Maybe a bit awkward, but it's building the characters - even Drew indirectly. We know more about Roxy and Marco now. They look like a likely couple to me - in spite of their age difference & no matter how you left this chapter. I do like Marco, but not for Sam.<P>*taps toe*<P>Drew, honey, I'm in the USA and I'm WAITING to see what you do next. Don't make me come over there! :D

here's my wishlist for the story:

1. make marco a worthy adversary to drew --- it's great that he's quite likeable (so far), his womanising reputation not-withstanding, but then again, that could just be a latin lover stereotype. and even if his rep is true, why deprive sam of the opportunity to find out how different sex is with him! XD (although i think sam might feel guilty if she does have sex with marco.) anyhoo, a caring, understanding & hot marco at least gives sam the chance to re-evaluate what she likes/loves about drew...

2.NO babies! if sam falls pregnant from her 'de-virginising' night with drew, it would be all too cliche and convenient. not nice to force drew into the relationship with sam.

3. drew gets to see sam when she's dressed up --- it'd be a shame that only marco gets the eye candy. heh heh

you don't have to pander to my wishes of course. part (ok, a lot) of the fun is actually finding out what surprising twists authors come up.

We all want to know. So far we've learned a lot about Sam and how she lost her virginity. If I were writing the next chapter, I'd have Sam nettle Drew by letting him know she and Marco had spent the night after her birthday in the Regent Suite. And I'd let him know that Marco wants her to come to Italy. But then, I'm not writing the story, am I? Evanslily, your writing is the best. Now I'm looking forward to seeing where Chapter 5 takes Sam. I'm sure it will be interesting, no matter where the plot goes.

with Marco, for at least 6 months. I don't like that Drew has it so easy and she needs to see the world outside her town. Also, I don't think that she and Marco should start dating as it's obvious Marco would get hurt because I think he actually has feelings for her. I think they should stay close friends.

I agree that it seems like everyone ends up pregnant. Seems too soon for that in this story. Oh gosh, if that is the case, don't let her sleep with Marco! We don't want any paternity issues..... j/k :)

Also, a lot of the other main characters in other stories have serious self-conscious issues. Sam's story is a little unique with the scar backstory, but it would be nice to see a leading lady in the future who wasn't so insecure and needing a man to convince her she's not ugly!

Here's hoping you do the unconventional thing and have Samantha end up with Marco or somebody new we haven't met yet. I can already see that she is going to end up with Drew, and Marco will probably reconcile with his wife. With the way you write, it will still be a good well-written story, but it is expected and has been done...just a thought.

It's been almost 4 months of waiting for chapter 5! How much longer is it going to be?

Think I am moving on to a new author. Tired of empty promises of new chapters soon and then having to wait months on end for them to appear. Then only after posts of readers begging for new chapters. Don't get me wrong the stories are wonderful. I'm just sick and tired of waiting and waiting and waiting. There are other amazing authors out there.

I understand. I really do. And I don't blame you for giving up on me. If it's any consolation, I'm pretty mad too that I haven't been able to get the next chapter out to you all.

But I am still writing. I've written 3,000 words this weekend and hope to be able to keep going this time. I took a wrong turn in the plot - something I was trying just didn't work and although I didn't want to ditch the 4000+ words I'd already written, that's exactly what I've had to do. The story is, I have to admit, much better for it.

I don't think I've ever given any empty promises, so I'm sorry that's how you feel. I have a full time job that leaves me precious little time for writing, but I'm in no position to give that up so that I can spend all day writing stories for a free writing site. :) If I won the lottery, maybe that'd be an option.

By all means, read the other amazing authors here. Maybe if you pop back in a year or two, this story will be finished and that way you won't have to experience the frustration of waiting for me to post the next chapter. :)

I, for one, have no problem waiting for you to post another chapter! Glad to see a post from you :) Sure, its torturous waiting, but its always well worth it. I'm sorry to see that someone else felt the need to post such a negative comment.... its not like you owe it to anyone to post new chapters within a certain time frame. I'm just grateful that you are still able to find the time to write so that we can enjoy your great stories! I've discovered some other new favorite authors in the meantime, but you're still the best! I hope work is going well for you!

i like where this is going. could you just for the heck of it let Sam sleep or try to sleep with Marco and then let that make Drew realize how much he cares for her. And he cant hold it against her, that would be chauvinistic. or something along the lines would be fun. looking forward to the next chapter.

When I read this chapter, although I did not like it as the previous one, I felt like it served a purpose. So I just took it! It did remind me a little bit of Howards' Way though...

I was worried that I wouldn't enjoy this chapter, without Drew, but you managed to capture my full attention early on and that grip has not loosened yet. I seriously spent the entire day looking forward to reading the next chapter! I love the depth of the characters and the storyline. I mean, Sam is so relatable (almost eerily so) and that's rare among the protagonists that I find in the stories on here. I appreciate that your stories focus on the romance that precede the sex because the slow build up makes the release that much more gratifying. I don't normally feel moved enough to leave a comment but I wanted you to know how much I've fallen in love with your work. I do hope you'll continue!

I mean, it's not a very fun situation for Sam to be in, but you have to admit, that for someone outside the issue, it's utter hilarious!

I have to keep giving your chapters a 3 ⭐ rating. Sadly, it is because of the cliff hanger ending each one has. Those are a useful device, but not every time please. This one is a better storyline than most, so I am hoping for a good ending.
