I actually remember this story. Don't think it was '94 but not much latter than that.

Of course, The Book is infamous. One the great unfinished stories.

I'm pretty sure it was 1994, but it could have been 1995. You'll notice I edited it a bit. Different times... I've already posted part 2 and part 3 - they're likely to be approved soon. Maybe I'll continue the story! I have a whole 3-volume thing worked out plot-wise.

Yes, this was on mcstories.com at one point. In those early, early days, anything posted to alt.sex.stories got swept up into various repost archives due to the temporary nature of usenet posts. When mcstories.com was created, it used the contents of the Mind-Numbing Archive as its base.

The story was eventually removed as part of a content purge for much the same reason as your edits for this version.

I liked the story, but what is the Book series?

The Book was a legendary (and really well written) mind control series about 20 years ago. No knowledge of it is required to "get" this series.
