If this is true you were one hell of a Marine.

I know exactly how he feels, having spent time in Vietnam and Desert Storm. It never goes away. One just learns to live with it, and never tell anyone because they wouldn't believe it anyhow.

Marine, no,. Army infantry yes, I was in the army infantry and was in Vietnam, I know how this feels, I was lucky, I was WIA, bot only in the left hand, lost two fingers but other wise am good. I seen a lot of guys hurt so much worse, arms and legs missing, it does take lots of time to get over it, and still never do. This story brings back things I have not thought about in years. It is a very well written story and has much truth in it. Thank you for your service sir.

So sad, losing so many soldiers, Marines, Army, Navy and Airforce. We sacrificed over 50 thousand men in Vietnam and our some of citizens treated them like shit when they came, shame on those with no respect for our brave and dedicated military. I was in the Army for 3 years 64-67 101st Signal Battalion in Europe. I was lucky my MOS kept me out of harms way. Thanks to rest of you for your service. Good story.

Great story and kudos to all those that have served. Congratulations to our less than spineless politicians today for pulling us out of Afghanistan and leaving those poor people to the mercy of the Taliban. There will be a blood bath. Maybe we should send Polossi and the Squad over there to deal with the problem. They seem to no it all.............
