Why doesn't he just bitch slap her and leave? Blackmail works two ways. Simply tell her that he'll chop her into little pieces if she talks to him again and that they'll never find the pieces and make her believe it. This is simply ludicrous.

Love the story, but can't understand why she is so fixated on him. She said he should have been with her so who did he meet first, gem or Zoe? Does she love him, hate Zoe, or some combination of both? This isn't a complaint, just curious.
