All Comments on 'Bunny Down'

I’m sorry but I just couldn’t gin up much sympathy for the characters in this story. Six years after this “story” took place I was a grunt in a Marine rifle company in Vietnam. The next year I was on my second tour of Vietnam in a different regiment and another rifle company. We didn’t medevac bunnies, we medevacced wounded and dead Marines. And guess what. When what was left of us came home we got no fanfare, no yellow ribbons, and no cheering crowds either. So please pardon the hell out of me if I have little empathy for an injured bunny.
