And with that, they kissed, and then joined the others at the party, holding each other's hands the entire night. One year ago, their marriage was almost destroyed. Tonight, it was flourishing, stronger than ever.

On the drive home, Erin looked over at Shawn and asked, "What was the reason you decided to give me another chance? I'm not sure I could have done the same thing if our situation was reversed.

Shawn thought for a moment, then said, "You know, the reason what you did caused me so much hurt was that I loved you so much. The more you love, the more hurt that is possible. So as I looked at the pain, I realized it could only be caused by an immense love. To me, that love was worth fighting for. If I had caused the problem and you had looked at it the same way, I think you would have made the same decision."

He reached out to grab her hand and give it a squeeze. As he drove along, he said, "You know, I think we probably should thank Roger for what he did to us."

"What the hell are you talking about? He almost ruined us!"

Shawn laughed. "True, but look at us now. Had Roger not pursued you, you would have never quit your job, and then you wouldn't have started working with me. I would have never landed the café remodel by myself. Because of Roger, the business is more successful than ever, and we are closer than ever. We are a great team - in business, and in life!"

"That may all be true, but I don't think I'm going to try to find his phone number to call him and tell him thank you!"

Shawn agreed. As they pulled in the garage, he said, "But I do need you to do something for me."

"What's that, honey?"

"Put your hair up in a ponytail and go find your cap. I think there's a handygirl I want to fuck tonight!"

They raced into the house, laughing and squealing until they got to the back bedroom and shut the door.

The Café was where it all started, the Café was where it was almost destroyed;

The Café was where they began again, and the Café was where they celebrated the success of their new beginning.

The Café was truly a mystical place!

Struggling with Trust (Erin) and Honesty (toward Shawn)

AnonymousAnonymous4 months ago

Well, the cheating Erin still managed to get out with minimal losses, convincing her gullible husband that she had only a flirtation and an emotional affair, although by all indications there was a full-fledged and, perhaps, not a one-time adultery with Roger. That day, she got so carried away and forgot about everything in the world, including the anniversary of their acquaintance with her husband, that she was very afraid for the safety of her marriage. By analogy with her awakening in bed in the fraternity house, she decided to abruptly and decisively stop everything that began to turn from fun entertainment back into some kind of addiction that threatened to end in catostrophe. Apparently, in addition to the letter she showed her husband, she sent Roger another letter, which she carefully deleted, which set out a fictional acceptable version of their relationship and begged Roger to support her, for the sake of all the exciting moments and experiences that were between them. From the letter from the accounting firm, she understood that Roger took all the blame on himself, but she did not know what dirty details of their relationship the bosses were able to get to and what Roger confessed to them. That's why Erin so resolutely refused to work, which she really liked. Obviously, there were already rumors about her and Roger inside the company, and therefore the whole true story could, sooner or later, become known to her husband. Her panic at the sight of Roger's car was due to the fact that she did not know how her lover would behave when confronted with her and her husband, but when Roger began his speech with an apology, Erin realized that he remained devoted to her and would support her fictional version of their relationship. Obviously, Roger really loved Erin. He did not reveal the whole truth to her husband, even though he himself was humiliated and lost his job because of their affair. Damn it, even if there was no long-term affair and numerous sexual encounters between them, but I'm completely sure that on that day, even once, Erin definitely fucked Roger. Most likely, under the influence of the moment and emotions, she, without hesitation, agreed to a one-time trial sex with Roger, which was immediately fixed by that passionate kiss in a cafe and, returning separately to the company, they quickly had sex in some secluded corner. Then, not particularly impressed by Roger's sexual talents, she returned to her office, where she received a message from her husband through her secretary, who reminded her of their anniversary. It was then that all the sorrow of the world and all the evil of the universe fell upon her...
