UGH!

I have thought seriously about going back in time and the greatest difficulty, besides not having been raised there, would be communication. Even going back to England in 1560, a couple of years after Elizabeth I assumed the throne, you would know many of the same words, but the meanings of many of them would be different (sometimes the opposite to what they mean today).

Of course, if you assume that they were magically transported back there, you can assume that they were given the ability to speak the local language.

Then forget what I said in the first paragraph.

This should be in Fantasy and SF.
