All Comments on 'Cease-Fire'

OMG...what a heart-breaking story. The sweetness of their meeting and the end when he is shot happens in slow-motion almost, haunting and sad. Well-written but leaves you with a sadness.

War sucks. It sucks even more when you think that most of the people who were in the war had families. Now it just has absolutely no good purpose because I just thought of what happens if you fall in love with the enemy.

It's odd that this story has such a low rating. There really was a Christmas ceasefire in 1914. Wars are caused by fools and fought by morons commanded by cretins

This story is almost the story of my grandfather's best friend. It all happenend in very much the same way. So sad, but we allow our leaders to take us into such inhuman conflicts whilst they sit at home, pontificate and live it up. It doesn't appear to make any difference as to what regime is in power. Anyway, my little whinge isn't going to change the way man has behaved for millenia.
