I want a Loki now... Great piece, very well written. Can't wait for the next installment.
...for a new Loki, that is. The next installment is coming next week, same dragon time, same dragon channel. However, if you absolutely cannot wait for more Dragon Cobolt, then you can check out Purgatory Wars - a series of novellas I sell on Amazon.

Thanks for reading, everyone!
The way you introduce concepts like tech is great. No need to completely explain every detail (like the table and card games) let the readers imagination fill in the blanks.
This story grabbed my attention in the first few paragraphs. Well done.
Really like the direction this is going, it's definitely unique. My only complaint is the use of current day technology in the story. While this chapter doesn't specify the time, it feels like the distant future or at least an alternate one. Having real life companies like Twitter and Google in there was very immersion breaking. I think fictional aspects of these would have been better, even if there were no changes to them. The Magic the Gathering bit at the beginning was fine because it incorporated holograms into it.
I'm glad you're enjoying it, Anon, but DMC takes place in 2120 - and we have dozens of companies alive today that were founded 150 or more years ago.
Companies don't die from old age. They die from failing to adapt. There's a reason why Google is into AI and genetics research in the 22nd century.
Well I kinda blew in here as usual looking for stories of a similar vein after reading “GF IP violations”, then got blown away, there’s enough Space Opera, humour, satire and creativity going to satisfy most of us I’d hope. I’ll be bingeing this one with a glass of something nice this evening!
Many thanks for writing and posting, cheers Ppfzz 5⭐️ (In case you were wondering).
