Good to see a story about disabled sex. It breaks a taboo and that's a very healthy thing. People deserve to be happy no matter what their situation. I really enjoyed the characters and I wanted to know what happened next. If there are technical medical details that are not accurate then please correct them but leave the flow of the story intact. Nice job.

Quadriplegic - paralysis extending to ALL four limbs, both arms and legs. Quad = 4!!!

I AM a paraplegic. After reading your story I have deduced that everything you know about spinal cord injury could be put in a thimble, and it would STILL rattle around like a b-b in a boxcar. You should be embarrassed by your complete and utter stupidity on the subject.

I don't know if it could happen in real life situation. An author tries to collect as much information as possible, finds a thin line of hope and then weaves his story as realistically as possible. Sometimes he may fail, but it would not be nice to belittle him, because he tries to show a line of hope for the hopeless. Well written, a fiver.

I wrote this story years ago. Yet after so many comments about it not being possible and unrealistic I have to comment. This is the true story of my experiences shortly after I broke my neck in 1986. I am a C6 quadriplegic. All four limbs are affected. My fingers do not move except through the muscles of my wrist movement. My arms are weak. But yet the arms move and I am independent enough to drive and transfer myself in and out of my wheelchair.

I am still considered a quadriplegic because all four limbs are affected. In regards to sex, as the story states I still can get an erection. Most quadriplegics can. There is no control between my mind and my penis; but with direct stimulation, an erection is no problem.

This is one of the major problems out there. Everyone assumes paralysis means no sex. To the point where they literally make negative and horrible comments when told otherwise. This is just my way of trying to emphasize the truth.

I am a quad and felt the passion in you story... Nice work.

Was ok, your take on paras all wrong. T4 complete here and I get hard ons eveytime a breeze blows up my leg or waking from a vivid dream. I to have the sensations and after describing it my lesbian friends told me it's like getting the clit to much stimulation before its ready. As for the person who had to explain what quadripalegia is, educate yourself before trying to state something as fact. Quadripalegia doesn't mean all 4 limb are paralyzed. It means their is impaired use, sensation, and or movement as compared to a nonafflicted person.

I do not know how to take this story. I can not put myself in Brian's place. Personally, my advanced care directiive makes use I will not live long enough to experience Brian's situation.
