You and many other writers have a poor understanding of how ejaculation works. The testicles manufacture the sperm cells, they collect briefly in little pockets behind the testicles and then the cells move up through the vas to seminal vesicles next to the prostate. It is here that they are mixed with the liquid to make the ejaculate and stored. With orgasm this liquid is pushed out and down through the penis. With orgasm the sperm does not go all the way from the testicles to the outside. This is why that after a vasectomy there is still liquid ejaculate, it just doesn't have any sperm cells in it.
