Okay, perhaps it was (as you said) a bit odd, but I liked the story and the perspective. Sometimes, "uncommon" is a good thing.

I felt lonely. That is the feeling this story gave me. And with that loneliness I felt sadness. Will the cougar ever find a mate? I hope so. Great story with an interesting way of telling it.

I guess you captured me again. I felt like the cougar. No sooner done with the prey and feeling like I needed more. How did you capture it.

The story had an uneasy tone of dread throughout. You made the excerpts work well. The ending was left ambiguous to good effect.
