This second chapter makes little sense unless the previous one is read first. That said, this chapter continues the plot of the first, and this chapter is even better than the previous one. There is a fascinating interplay among the various characters, and the complexity of their relationships is most interesting as the plot develops. There is most definitely a tension in the atmosphere as the story unfolds, and this tension reaches a peak towards the end. The romantic element in the chapter is simply marvelous. Five stars.
