Such a sad chapter. I was so hoping she could be saved. Redeemed somehow. 😢
First there's the open plot thread of why Rayya is running from Catriona and who put the limit on her abilities. What happened at the school to make her the way that she is now. Talos already made up his mind to give Rayya a chance to explain what happened and yet as soon as he catches up with her, he's totally irrational to the point of now listening to her.
Second, "He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." Talos has massacred more innocent people then she has and he knows it but he's now trying to make up for it. As for Cass, she's killed as well even though she states it was in self defense but an argument can be made otherwise. Depending upon the reasoning it could even possibility be argued that it's not her fault.
Power such magical power related to a girl ...... But killing or spelling magic so they kill themself is missing any empatic feelings ..... And so this arrow was the only possibility, but compared to our days it is lifting soccer professionals in a sky high own sphere and done it we wonder why they are acting like gods - this is a synonym standing for every kind star of every kind of professional base like sports or business or healthcare or name it
Feeling sad for Rayya yes i do , because none of the teachers ever may offered her the real empathy and help
