One or two minor blips. Watch the use of "the both of you." This is not good in formal writing, such as you give us. Eliminate the definite article. Here are your instances:
Irene had teased the both of them
I couldn't be more delighted for the both of you,
Jonathan treated the both of them to dinner
And, also, formal usage, such as you employ so well, requires the use of "as" instead of "like" in the following: "And like I said, one doesn't have to go nude in those baths."
A really nice story and written very well, which made reading it all the better. Elizabeth does sound like a woman who many men could appreciate, unlike so many of the females in current stories here.
